libre.moe is my domain for services hosted in the cloud using only free software. As the name implies, you will only find libre and FOSS services on here.
Where to start using my services? Right here:
At first, start making an account on my account system. Most services here authenticate using it so an account is required for anything more than just browsing, but you will only have one singular login and password for all libre.moe, which is pretty cool if you ask me.
Just click on Login in the top right of that window and then click on Register to create an account. You will get an email with verification link, which you'll have to use in order to activate your account.
So what can you find here? Here's a list of different services hosted on here. There are actually a bit more, but those are sub-services for these listed here, so there is no point in listing it here.
Please note that the services which directly prompt you for a login have no publicly browsable information whatsoever, like Nextcloud. For these, an account is strictly required.
Publicly useable services:
Invite-only services:
Rustpad is an open-source collaborative text editor, allowing you to share links to anyone and edit together. My server stores documents for 90 days of inactivity, after which the document will be permanently deleted from production.
Mumble is a free, open source, low latency, high quality voice chat application - similar to TeamSpeak.
To use Mumble, simply download a client from mumble.info and follow the onboarding set-up experience.
During set-up you will be asked a few questions, here are my recommendations:
Add a new server to your server list using the address mumble.libre.moe
(using the default port 64738) and connect to it.
You can use any kind of username you want, as long as it isn't taken by another user.
**
Done! You are now using Mumble ^^.
To claim your username so only you can use it, register to the server using your client certificate. Be sure to copy your certificate to all your devices, as you can only use that username with your specific certificate going forward.
WARNING: If you lose your certificate, no one can use your username anymore - not even you. Be sure to back it up (for example to our Nextcloud server).
To register, simply right-click your username and select "Register". That's it.
From now on, every time you log on, you (any only you) will automatically use that username - even if you tell Mumble to use a different one, as you will be identified by your certificate.
We (a small group of friends) also use a Matrix-server ourselves, which you can join too. It's sort of like a discord server, but libre and hosted by us. The server is hosted on komu.boo but it's using the libre.moe account system. So you need to create an account here in order to login there (which sounds more complicated than it is).
It should be noted that the primary language used, is German, since we are from Germany.
If you encounter issues like "registration is disabled", that's because you can't register to the Matrix-server directly, as it's using the libre.moe account system. Try to login instead and then register on the login page ^^.
In case you ever have issues with the services, be sure to check my uptime montor at status.libre.moe. This is actually not hosted by myself and also not libre, but a very helpful resource to me for detecting issues with my services.
If you encounter any issues, feel free to contact me or - even better - create an issue on my Gitea.
The issue tracker is also a very helpful resource for general problems, issues and work being done on services or other stuff regarding to libre.moe and also komu.boo. Feel free to look through or create an issue if you have any issues or want to propose a change.
